Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s normal to have lots of questions about our treatments, and we are happy to answer your inquiries every step of the way. Every client is unique. We all have different skin types, conditions, characteristics, and lifestyles which impact what treatments we need and how we will respond to them.

When we give a client consultation, we do our best to propose a treatment plan with realistic goals and time frames. We do our best to ensure you are happy with our professionalism and care, and leave with the best results possible.

Here are some answers to our most frequently asked questions:

 1. How old should I be when I start Botox?

We offer Botox to clients age 18 and older. There is no standard age to start Botox; it is entirely up to the individual. Some clients start to treat wrinkles when they first appear as fine lines, whereas others wait until they appear deep. It is not uncommon for individuals to start Botox treatments before wrinkles appear for prevention.

Regardless of age, we do not offer Botox treatments to anyone who is pregnant, is actively trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

2. How many units of Botox will I need?

The number of units depends on your muscle tone, area(s) of concern and desired results. We can offer an estimate upon our consultation, yet we may need additional units depending on how our clients’ like the results.

3. If I start skin treatments and stop, will my skin be worse than before?

Botox: Your skin will not be worse than before treatment, but it will not improve or remain the same as the aging process continues.

Dermal Filler: As long as filler is used appropriately to restore lost volume or for subtle enhancements, it will not stretch the surrounding tissue unnecessarily. Our goal is to always improve the skin, not distort it in our clinic.

Once a filler is placed appropriately, it takes time to metabolize and happens at different rates, depending on the area and how much movement is happening around it. Eventually if you stop all fillers, lifestyle factors in conjunction with the aging process (depletion of collagen and elastin) will naturally return and negatively impact your skin.

Time is not our friend when it comes to the skin.

SkinPen Microneedling: After the treatment, your skin will be the most visibly smoother and firmer for the first month. It will continue to build collagen and maintain the repaired the skin imperfections for more than half a year. If you discontinue your package before its completion, you will not achieve the full benefits of microneedling. It is highly recommended for clients to follow the proper guidelines on treatment sessions for optimal results.

Filler: Some redness will appear at the injection site, either immediately or hours after the treatment. Wait at least an hour before covering up with makeup.

Microneedling: Depending on your skin type, it can appear like a mild sunburn.

8. Are any of the treatments painful?

All of our treatments have some level of discomfort. We use the best practice techniques to minimize discomfort, and prescription grade numbing to make your experience enjoyable.
