Many people have a small pocket of fat on the lower belly, or sometimes above the belly button, that does not change no matter how much they train. Fat dissolving injections can refine these small areas by permanently destroying a portion of the fat cells.
This treatment is designed for soft fat that sits just under the skin. It does not treat fat deeper inside the abdomen around the organs, and it does not tighten loose skin, which is why an honest assessment matters before you start.

An honest note
Kybella (sold in Canada as Belkyra) is approved by Health Canada for fat under the chin. Using it on the body is considered off label, which means it is a medical decision made case by case. We explain this clearly at your consultation so you can decide with all the facts.
Fat dissolving is not a weight loss treatment. It works best for people who are close to their goal weight and want to refine a small area that has not changed with diet and exercise.
Good questions
How many sessions will I need?
Most abdominal plans take two to four sessions spaced about six weeks apart. The exact number depends on the size of the area and how your body responds, and we review progress at every visit.
Does it hurt?
You will feel a warm, stinging sensation for several minutes after the injections. We apply cooling and numbing where appropriate to keep you comfortable.
What is the downtime?
Swelling, tenderness, bruising and a firm or numb feeling in the area are common for one to two weeks. Most clients return to work the next day and wear loose clothing while the swelling settles.
Are the results permanent?
Fat cells that are destroyed do not come back. Remaining fat cells can still grow with weight gain, so a stable weight helps you keep your result.
Can it be combined with skin tightening?
Yes. Some clients combine fat dissolving with microneedling for the abdomen. We space the treatments so each one can settle properly.
