Thinning hair
Thinning hair can be caused by genetics, hormones, stress, nutrition, medications or medical conditions, and it affects women and men. Because the cause matters, we always look at the bigger picture before recommending treatment.
Scalp microneedling uses SkinPen microneedling to create tiny, controlled channels in the scalp. This is thought to stimulate blood flow and growth factors around the hair follicle and can help topical hair treatments absorb more effectively.
Microneedling works best for early to moderate thinning and is usually part of a wider plan. It will not regrow hair where follicles are no longer active.

How soon will I see results?
Hair grows slowly, so it usually takes three to six months to see a change in thickness.
Should I see a doctor first?
If your hair loss is sudden, patchy or comes with other symptoms, please see your physician first. Some causes, such as thyroid or iron issues, need medical treatment.
Is there downtime?
Your scalp may be pink and tender for a day or two. We recommend waiting 24 hours before washing your hair.
