Lipoma Injection Treatment in Mississauga & Kleinburg
Injectable fat dissolving for small, stubborn pockets that diet and exercise have not changed, planned after a careful assessment.

Lipoma treatment
A lipoma is a soft, slow growing lump made of fat cells that sits just under the skin. Lipomas are usually harmless, but they can be bothersome when they are visible, catch on clothing or are in an area you feel self conscious about.
For small, soft lipomas, fat dissolving injections can be an option to reduce their size without surgery or a scar. The injections break down the fat cells inside the lipoma, and your body clears them over the following weeks.
Not every lump is a lipoma, so diagnosis comes first. If a lump is firm, painful, growing quickly or has not been checked by a doctor, we will ask you to see your physician before any treatment.
Who it is for
You have a small, soft, movable lump that has been confirmed as a lipoma.
You would prefer to avoid a surgical excision and scar where possible.
You understand injections often shrink a lipoma rather than remove it completely, and that surgery is sometimes the better choice.
What to expect
Most lipomas need one to three sessions.
- Review of your diagnosis and health history
- Measuring and photographing the lipoma
- Injections placed directly into the lipoma
- Cooling and aftercare instructions
- Review in about six weeks to measure the change
An honest note
Using fat dissolving injections for lipomas is considered off label in Canada. We explain what that means, the expected results and the alternatives so you can make an informed choice.
Larger or deeper lipomas are usually best removed surgically, and we will refer you if that is the right path. You can also book a consultation simply to have a lump assessed and talk through your options.
Good questions
Will the lipoma come back?
Lipomas that shrink well usually stay smaller, but some can regrow over time. We will review how yours responds and plan any follow up care.
Is there downtime?
Expect swelling, tenderness and sometimes bruising around the area for one to two weeks. Most people return to normal activities the next day.
Do I need a doctor's diagnosis first?
Yes. A lump should be confirmed as a lipoma by a physician, sometimes with an ultrasound, before we treat it.
Individual results vary. Every treatment follows a consultation and assessment.
