Beautiful lips aren't about size. They're about balance: how your lips sit with your nose, chin and smile, and how they move when you talk and laugh. At SKINFIDELITY, lip filler is an artistic, anatomy-led treatment. We use the least product needed to restore volume, refine shape and add hydration, so your lips look like your own, only more balanced. This guide brings together everything you need to know about lip filler at our Mississauga and Kleinburg clinics, from your first consultation to aftercare.
Work so good, they won't know. Every plan starts with a conversation about your goals, your anatomy and what will suit your face as a whole.

Our Approach: Natural, Balanced, Never Overfilled
We know your lips' limits and how to work with them. Our aim is to accentuate your features, not change them. That means:
- Facial anatomy first. We assess your lip structure, proportions and the surrounding face before recommending anything.
- The least product needed. Subtle, gradual enhancement looks more natural and lowers the risk of an overfilled look.
- Premium hyaluronic acid fillers. We use Health Canada-approved fillers designed for the lips.
- A holistic plan. Sometimes the best result for your lips involves the chin, the corners of the mouth or a lip flip. We'll explain your options honestly.

What Lip Filler Can Do
- Restore volume lost with age, or add gentle fullness.
- Define the border for a crisper outline and a more defined Cupid's bow (see our philtrum and Cupid's bow treatment).
- Improve balance between the upper and lower lip and soften mild asymmetry.
- Hydrate dry lips and soften fine lines around the mouth.
- Create a nonsurgical lip lift (more below).

The Nonsurgical Lip Lift
A nonsurgical lip lift uses carefully placed dermal filler to give the upper lip gentle height and lift, without surgery and without a scar. It can help soften the look of a long space between the nose and the top lip. It's done in the same appointment as a regular lip filler, but the technique is very controlled and precise, and it takes skill and experience to keep the result natural.

Avoiding the "Filler Moustache"
One of the biggest clues that someone has had lip filler is the side profile. Instead of a gentle slope, the area above the upper lip border protrudes, often called a "duck lip" or "filler moustache". This usually happens when too much product is used or filler migrates over time. Careful placement, the right product and not overfilling help prevent it. Migrating filler isn't the look anyone wants, and we'd rather build slowly over time than risk it.

Lip Flip or Lip Filler?
A lip flip relaxes the muscle around the mouth so the upper lip shows a little more, with no added volume. Lip filler adds structure, shape and hydration. If you're unsure which suits you, we'll talk it through at your consultation.
Your Lip Filler Appointment
- Consultation and assessment. We talk about your goals, review your medical history and assess your lip anatomy and facial proportions.
- A personalized plan. We recommend only what you need, and you'll know what to expect before we begin.
- Precise, gentle treatment. We place the filler carefully for a smooth, natural finish.
- Results. You'll see a difference right away, and your final result settles over one to two weeks.
Aftercare Basics
- Some swelling, tenderness and bruising are normal for the first few days.
- Avoid pressing or massaging your lips unless we ask you to.
- Follow the aftercare instructions we give you, and contact us if anything concerns you.
- Give your lips one to two weeks to settle before judging the final result.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does lip filler last?
It varies with the filler used, your metabolism and your lifestyle. Many clients come back for a touch-up after several months. We'll talk about what to expect for you at your consultation.
Does lip filler hurt?
Most clients find it very manageable. The lips are sensitive, so we take steps to keep you comfortable and work gently and precisely.
How long does swelling last after lip filler?
Some swelling, tenderness or bruising is normal for the first few days. Lips usually settle over one to two weeks, which is when you'll see your final result.
Will my lips look natural?
That's our goal with every client. We use the least product needed, respect your lip anatomy and build gradually, so your lips look like yours, only more balanced.
Can lip filler be dissolved if I don't like it?
Hyaluronic acid filler can usually be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. We also correct migrated or overfilled lips from other clinics, always starting with an assessment.
What's the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?
A lip flip uses a small amount of a wrinkle-relaxing injectable to let the upper lip show a little more, without adding volume. Filler adds structure, shape and hydration. Some clients benefit from one, some from both.
Where can I get lip filler with SKINFIDELITY?
